Iran is concerned about the U.S. presence in the region but trusts Armenia: Araghchi

Iran is concerned about the U.S. presence in the region but trusts Armenia. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

“We are concerned about any U.S. presence in the region and around us. At the same time, we maintain close ties with our Armenian friends and trust them,” the Iranian minister stated.

According to Araghchi, Tehran is confident that Armenia is not taking any steps directed against Iran’s security.

He also noted that consultations with Armenian officials are ongoing.
